Residency: Yvonne (Guatemala City, Guatemala)
December 11 - January 2, 2017

"Located in downtown Guatemala City, Yvonne is an exercise in living-with. She is a place for conversation, for experimentation, and for exploring convivencia. Yvonne is an expat, and she is pensive about what that can mean. She lives with objects, and she invites artists, designers and writers to share her space. She has cerveza at the ready, and she spends long afternoons in the garden with visitors and neighbors, listening to the city. She speaks between English and Spanish, and apologizes for her grammar. Yvonne believes that sincere and simple hospitality can be a radical site for creative work."
